ABOUT

In 1996 my partner was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis.  During his stay in hospital he was told by medical staff that he could eat whatever he wanted including foods from the nearby MacDonalds. At the time I had no nutritional training but somehow this advice didn’t seem right to me.  A family friend suggested that he see a Nutritional Therapist and that was the start of a long journey culminating in my qualification as a Registered Nutritional Therapist in March 2014.

During my journey over the last eighteen years my partner and I have tried and tested many different eating plans with varying levels of success and ease of implementation.  I have set up this blog to share with people my tried and tested recipes, what worked for us and what didn’t.  I might also throw in the odd article about the state of the food supply, food poverty or whatever else has caught my attention.

As well as working as a Nutritional Therapist and Kinesiologist I assist with the College of Naturopathic Medicine Student Clinics in Edinburgh.
